Depending on where you live in Ontario, and whether you are married or common-law, there are three different Courts to deal with different family law issues. You need to know which Court will deal with your specific family law issue in your community.

Family Court of the Superior Court of Justice

There are 25 unified family court systems called The Family Court of the Superior Court of Justice in Ontario: They are located in Barrie, Belleville, Bracebridge, Brockville, Cayuga, Cobourg, Cornwall, Hamilton, Kingston, Kitchener, Lindsay, London, L’Orignal, Napanee, Newmarket, Oshawa/Whitby, Ottawa, Pembroke, Perth, Peterborough, Picton, Simcoe, St. Catharines, St. Thomas and Welland.

Superior Court of Justice

The Superior Court of Justice is in 52 locations in Ontario, in addition to numerous satellite locations.
